Questions?

We’ve got answers! Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get. If you have any other questions, simply call the shop and ask.

  • No, though it’s preferred. You can always walk in, but we may not be able to tattoo you that day.

  • Yes! We will redraw it to ensure it will work well as a tattoo, in the spot you’re wanting. This might mean resizing the image or making linework adjustments.

We don’t copy other artists’ work - sorry! It’s a respect thing. If you bring in reference images of another tattoo artist’s work, we’ll work with you in making adjustments so that the artwork is unique to you.

  • All the time! We actually prefer this - it gives our artists a chance to be more creative and you get artwork that’s totally unique.

  • Of course, but please keep it to just one or two. We may ask that they wait in the front lobby, as a safety and space precaution. Our tools and areas are kept neatly organized and sterilized.

  • Yes! We can do matching tattoos for couples, sisters, brothers, families, and friends. You will need to book an appointment beforehand to ensure that we have the time and artists available.

  • Yes, we allow all registered service animals in the shop. Though, we do ask that you call ahead and make an appointment so that those with allergies can make plans accordingly.

Tattoo Aftercare

  • The outer layer of skin typically takes 2 to 3 weeks to heal. The underlying layers of skin can take up to six months to fully heal though, so keep up with your routine!

  • We carry a product called Vitalitree here in the shop that we highly recommend. It’s a natural, effective healing product line that uses organic candela, tepezchouite extract, and chamomile to remove swelling, and aid your tattoo in healing quickly and safely.

Outside of that, we recommend any fragrance free lotion like Lubriderm or Eucerin. Pure Coconut Oil is also great!

  • It’s called Derma Bond - don’t rip it off! It will fall off naturally, and it may take up to a week.

If you must, you can use a bit of cold water to break down the adhesive until it's no longer painful to remove.

Don't re-bandage or cover your new tattoo, it needs time to breath and heal naturally.

  • Avoid the temptation to scratch it! Use more lotion. Gently clean your new tattoo twice per day with a mild, unscented soap. You don’t want to wash it too often, as that removes the natural oils and moisture from your skin.
